In the fall of '03, Mary teamed up with native Arizonian Carey Slade to form the blues folk rock duo "Sla-Day". Since then they've toured in Arizona, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Utah, and South Dakota. Most recently they joined forces with Jason Wiedman on drums and Steve Mitchell on guitar. The "Sla-Day" band just released their debut CD "Endless Good Times", recorded and engineered by Audio Confusion. More details on "Sla-Day" can be found at www.sla-day.com. Prior to moving to Arizona, Mary spent several years living in Gloucester, MA. While living there she worked with producers Doug & Dave Brown (Dave worked with Billy Joel, Paul Simon & others), recording demos & her first album "COLLAGE". She performed as a soloist, with vocalist Jacque Chambers as the Duo "LUMINA" and with the MG Band featuring John Newcomer (Shake) and Masashi Nakamura. Inspired by her brother Todd Kelley (TKR Records, owned by TK released 36 albums of Midwest folk artists) ; Mary decided to start her own company BAYLIGHT PUBLISHING. Baylight has released two compilation CDs, securing placement in television & film. As a publisher Mary has spoken as a panelist at the music conference LMNOP (New Orleans). She negotiated a mechanical license for her own material with Right Coast Records and has performed several years at the SXSW Regional Round-Up showcases in Austin, Texas. Before relocating to Boston, Mary performed throughout the Midwest with the national synth-pop female band Faces Of Emotion & the folk group Angel Train (featuring vocalist Sue Demel of the well known Sons Of The Never Wrong) where she garnered industry attention as a songwriter & performer. During that time Mary also held the Vice-President Post with Midwest Woman In Music (an outreach committee of NARAS) and wrote feature stories for STREETROCK. Marys' interests include spiritualty, astrology, the healing arts, music, the visual and performing arts, creative _expression, creative collaboration, communication, teaching, friendships, beauty, peace, love, and light.

Mary G's new song "Runaway Thrill" Co-Written with Bruce Pilato) can be heard on the new Baylight CD "Take A Bite It Only Gets Sweeter"

Mary G's vocals have a wispy alluring quality which pulls listeners in with introspective prose while offering lush arrangements. Her influences range from Bluegrass & Folk (from her songwriting brother), to Retro Rock (from her old band days of Blondie & Pretenders), creating an interesting bed for her own songs.
